Lake House Access Schedule
Monday: No before/after-hours access due to the installation of new entry readers.
Tuesday: Before/after-hours access resumes.
Wednesday: Normal access resumes using your QR code.

New App Now Available: “Seabrook Island Club”
Early access to the new Northstar app is available starting today. The app is used by Property Owner Club Members and Non Club Member Property Owners. The full experience launches on Saturday, June 1st, but you can begin exploring now.
What You Can Do Today:
Log in and view your profile.
Access your personal QR code for amenity entry.
Get familiar with the app’s features and layouts.
How To Get the App: Search “Seabrook Island Club” in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and download the app. Login Info:
Username: Your Member Number (Club Members only) or POA ID # (Non Club Member Property Owners).
Password: Your last name in lowercase (no spaces or special characters) You’ll have the option to change your password after your first login.

Stormwater Pump Station 2 – Construction of the Pump Station 2 replacement project is complete and can be seen in the picture below. The pump automation controls are being calibrated, and the temporary bypass pumping equipment will be removed in June.
Ocean Winds #15 Tide Mitigation Structure – A permit to construct a structure to prevent tidal flooding in an area adjacent to Ocean Winds #15 was submitted to the SC Bureau of Coastal Management (SCBCM) in October 2023. The permit application was denied in April 2025. SCBCM determined the proposed project was not consistent with policies and regulations and suggested that a preferred alternative would be the construction of berms and bulkheads utilizing the golf course and uplands adjacent to private properties. Considering the permit denial, the SIPOA General Operations and Maintenance Committee elected to pursue the construction of the Finger Lakes Outfall Structure in 2025.
Old Forrest Pipe Replacement – Plans are being drafted to dig and replace a stormwater pipe that crosses under a small causeway on Old Forrest Dr that connects two of the finger lakes. The pipe is old and undersized and needs to be replaced with a larger pipe. Construction will require the Old Forrest causeway to be closed to all through traffic for approximately 30 days. The plan is to begin construction in the fall.
Finger Lakes Outfall Structure – This project will replace an existing stormwater outfall structure from the finger lakes into the salt marsh. The new structure will allow for automated water level control in the lakes and will prevent tidal flooding into the lakes during king tide events. Construction plans and specifications are being drafted. The anticipated schedule for this project are to complete the plans and specifications in August, solicit construction bids in September, and begin construction around November 2025. Construction will take approximately 4-6 months to complete.
SIPOA will be transitioning from physical amenity cards to a more convenient QR code system, accessible through the Northstar App. Each Property Owner will receive a unique QR code via the Northstar app, which will allow entry to SIPOA-managed facilities. For residents who do not use a digital device, a new physical access card will be available upon request to ensure a smooth transition for everyone.
We will be sharing a detailed update next week with instructions and key information to help you prepare. In the meantime, please stay informed by monitoring the SIPOA weekly eblast, Palmetto Pulse, sipoa.org, and other official communications. Seabrook Island Club (SIC) members will receive updates through SIC communication channels.

Charleston County Mosquito Control spraying scheduled for Friday, May 23 – Saturday, May 24
Charleston County Mosquito Control has scheduled a spray truck for Zone “K2,” which includes the Town of Seabrook Island. The treatment is scheduled to take place during the overnight hours beginning after 11:00 PM on Friday May 23, and will be completed prior to 7:00 AM on Saturday May 24 (weather permitting).
Electricians and IT personnel will be working in the Lake House lobby and doorway areas from 5/19 – 5/22 to install hardware for the new QR Code access scanners.

Start your celebration of the 4th of July holiday with some fitness fun and join us for Seabrook Island’s 5K Walk/Run!
Whether you are running, walking, or a combination of the two, it is fun for all!
This family-friendly event will begin at 8:00am at the Lake House, and take participants through the front half of beautiful Seabrook Island. The course is 3.4 miles. Participants will be placed in corrals to space out the start based on their selection in the registration form.
The cost for the 5K Run/Walk is $30.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR 4TH OF JULY WALK/RUN | The Lake House is looking for volunteers to assist with Seabrook Island’s 4th of July Walk/Run on Thursday, July 3rd. Volunteers will be asked to meet at the Lake House at 7:15am, and the race should be completed by 10:00am. Responsibilities may include directing participants on the racecourse, hydration support (water station), and cheering on participants. 4th of July Parade
We are thrilled to announce the Grand Marshall of the Fourth of July Parade will be…CINDY WILLIS!
Cindy Willis volunteers her time and works tirelessly to maintain the Lending Library. Even when faced with mounds of donated books, she works diligently with a smile on her face. We are so appreciative of her meticulous organization of the library and her positive attitude. We are so excited to have Cindy as the Grand Marshall of the Fourth of July Parade!

The Seabrook Island July 4th Parade is a long-standing tradition. Each year, both the number of parade participants and spectators increase to keep our tradition fun for all. We have many young children (youth and preteens) on bicycles leading the parade, as well as an increasing number of LSVs full of families with young children celebrating July 4th.
The parade lineup will have a Dry Section at the beginning. All parade participants who would like to be dry will comprise the first part of the parade.
The Johns Island fire engine signals the end of the dry section and the beginning of the Water Party.
All parade participants who want to be a part of the Water Party will follow the fire engine.
PARADE RULES:
For safety reasons, ALL bicycle riders MUST lineup at the FRONT of the parade and should be able to complete the 6.7-mile parade loop at a speed of 6mph.
For safety reasons, ALL participants riding in the bed of trucks MUST REMAIN INSIDE the bed of the truck with the truck tailgate CLSOED.
No sitting on truck bed rails.
No standing in truck beds.
Truck tailgate must be closed for the entire duration of the parade.
Any type of vehicle allowed on Seabrook Island roads and able to maintain 10mph may take part in the parade.
Do not throw candy/items from vehicles. No water balloons allowed.
There will be 2 sections for vehicles: DRY & WET. Staff will be on hand to assist with both the Dry and Wet section lineups.
Dry Section – Lineup will be at the Lake House Front Lawn.
Wet Section – Lineup will be in the Seabrook Island Village Area.
All parade participants must be at their lineup location by 9:00am.
NEW THIS YEAR – A DRY VIEWING SECTION! The Dry Viewing Section will be located in the grassy area near the volleyball net on the Lake House Front Lawn for the spectators that prefer to remain dry. Please remember to bring your lawn chairs/blankets, and be seated by 8:45am to see all the Fourth of July Parade fun!

The Town’s Environment & Wildlife Committee and SIPOA are holding an alligator information meeting for residents of Seabrook Island.
It will be held Monday, June 2 at 7:00pm at the Lake House, Live Oak Hall.
Rebecca Cavalier, SCDNR Wildlife Biologist/Alligator Project, will be presenting.
Steve Hirsch, SIPOA Director of Engineering & Facilities Management, will be discussing how SIPOA handles alligators.
The purpose of the meeting is not to make you fear alligators, but to give you information about their behavior, way of life, and how we can safely coexist with them.
The town is hosting Disaster Awareness day on Thursday, May 29 from 10:00am – 1:00pm at the Seabrook Island Club.
An exciting lineup of speakers will be there to help you prepare for any disaster that could come our way.
The featured guest speaker will be Dana Souza, City Manager for Sanibel Island, FL. Dana will speak about how Hurricane Ian decimated Sanibel Island in 2022 and how the island continues to recover today. He will have impactful stories to share about how a major hurricane can affect a community.
The new director for Charleston County Emergency Management Department (CCEMD), Justin Pierce, will speak as well as Chief Ryan Kunizter (STJFD). Both will provide information about the support each department offers to Charleston County during a disaster.
Chief Meteorologist Bill Walsh from Live 5 News will emcee the event.
From 12:00pm – 1:00pm a free lunch will be provided for those who attend.
