What is the Lake House Fitness Trail?
The Lake House Fitness Trail is a new trail that combines two current trails: Lake House Nature Trail and Palmetto Lake Trail. It is a nearly 1 mile scenic trail that begins at the Lake House front door. It goes around Palmetto Lake and through the wooded area beyond the playground. An alternative for those who wish to stay on a hard surface is to continue around the playground along the Lake House outdoor pool to the bike path.

The tide height on Seabrook Island reached 8.4’ at 7:00pm on 8/20/25 due to the effects of Hurricane Erin offshore. This caused some erosion at boardwalk 9.
Boardwalk 9 is closed at this time as repairs are being made. We plan to have it reopened by the end of the day on 8/22/25.
Please plan to use other beach access points until then, and thank you for your patience.

The National Weather Service reports Hurricane Erin is a large, strong CAT 2 hurricane. As it moves NW then North it will bring a large swell to the east coast which will cause an extended period of dangerous surf conditions and minor to moderate erosion at area beaches. A High Risk of rip currents is in place today. A High Surf Advisory is in effect through Thursday evening. Experts are warning people to please stay out of the water.

Proceeds will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
We aim to come together to make a difference by raising both awareness and essential funds for suicide prevention. This tournament and cause hold a special purpose for several Seabrook Island Employees (Team MK Light) and their families, and we are so grateful to the Seabrook Island community for showing up and supporting!
The proceeds from the tournament will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We will continue to raise funds via Team MK Light until the Charleston Area Out of Darkness Walk in late October.
Join us for a day of fun, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
We’re excited to come together to make a difference and support this worthy cause.
