4th of July Events Recap – 2025

The Amenities and Activities Committee thanks Seabrook Island Property Owners, their family members and guests, and the Lake House staff for all their help with the July 4th parade.

The parade continues to grow in excitement and length. The number of early registrants (bikes, LSVs, cars) was our largest ever at 132. The Lake House staff appreciates all who preregister because that helps determine the best setup for parade day.

This year we made two changes: one due to the length of the parade and one in response to Property Owners’ requests from 2024. We have simply outgrown the customary line up area, so the dry section now lines up on the Lake House lawn and the water party section on Seabrook Island Road by the Village at Seabrook. We also set up a dry viewing area on the Lake House front lawn by the volleyball net for those spectators who wanted to watch the parade in dry space. A small, but happy crowd gathered there.

Once again, a huge THANK YOU goes to all the spectators who respected and honored the dry section that led the parade. This year we had over 100 bicycles, LSVs, and cars that just celebrated the 4th with flags, lots of decorations, streamers, cheers, and music.

The St. John’s Fire District Station 2 fire truck that announces the water party made it all the way to the Haulover before the team was called out on a run and had to temporarily leave the parade. However, in true Seabrook Island style, those just behind the fire truck did not miss a beat. They loudly announced they were “The Water Party” and the fun began.

We owe special thanks to SIPOA security and CERT volunteers who assisted with parade route management. It was a team effort. Thank you to all involved.

Planning for the 2026 parade is already underway!
